Dog Requirements:
Well-socialized and potty-trained dogs are especially important in this setting, due to the nature of the class, along with signed vet permission slip. Questions about whether this is the right place for your dog? Please speak with Carol Byrnes. In order to have a calm an restful experience, dogs should be friendly and well-behaved. If your dog is reactive in social situations with dogs or people or is a wild party animal, this may not be the class for you.
Tips for your dog: Take them on a nice sniff-walk before class, to expend energy and make it easier for them to be calm.
Things to work on before class: introduce your dog to your yoga mat; let them sniff around on it, walk on it, sit and rest on it...in essence, familiarize themselves with it, so it is a comfortable item-from-home for them, and less of a distraction or curiosity to them for class. Review 'leave-it' so they don't help themselves to treat containers, as they will likely be on the floor with you.
Enter quietly and be mindful and respectful of the space of other dogs and people.
Students Bring:
Your Yoga mat, one dog per student, leash, treats for your dog & water bottle for you.
Provided: Yoga blankets to use during class.
Attire: Comfy, stretchy clothing
