Personal Training & Behavior Consultations

One-on-one help for individual concerns

Group classes start monthly - 1.5 hour classes, once per week for 4 weeks.

Jot down the day/date/and time of your first and second choice classes -or multiple levels of classes if you are registering for a class package- so you'll be ready to enter them into the registration form below.   There is plenty of space on the form to leave detailed notes and questions or ask to be put on a waiting list.

Questions about which class would be right for your dog?

What will we learn?  We will build a foundation of basic skills, focusing on good manners in a group class setting with the distractions of other dogs and people.  You will learn how to teach sit, down, stand on hand signal and verbal cue.  And of course, come when called, stay, leave-it and sit for petting, plus techniques to build loose leash walking skills.  We will use a verbal marker "yes!" to mark appropriate behavior while teaching the dog to work to earn rewards such as attention, praise, petting, food, and access to games and activities the dog wants.

My dog already knows some stuff - can I skip a grade?

Vaccinations & Health:

Be sure to verify your dog's vaccination history.

Please check with your vet to be sure they will sign your vet permission slip.

You will have until week 2 when the dogs join us to bring your form.

Puppies don't need to have "all their shots" to attend, but they do need to be adequately protected to attend a group class.  Puppies will meet other vaccinated puppies week 2.

PLEASE NOTIFY US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND:

There is a $75 transfer fee if you need to postpone at the last minute!

SPACE IS LIMITED!  We pride ourselves on providing small class size.  If you register for a class and don't show up, someone else loses a chance to have your spot.  Please make sure that you have vet permission and that you are planning to attend before you register! If you find you are unable to attend PLEASE let us know as soon as possible so we can give someone else your spot.

We love it when friends/family attend together, but all too often if one cancels, they all do.  If you are registering MULTIPLE DOGS from the same household or registering with a friend, PLEASE make sure that you plan to attend before you reserve space. It's unfair to the instructor and really unfair to those turned away who would have loved to have been in the class.

We try our best to be able to accommodate everyone's needs, but in this day and age of complicated schedules, we are faced with having to become more strict regarding cancellations and transfers due to an abundance of last minute schedule juggling.  Often the next month is mostly full, not because of the new students registering, but because so many transfers from the previous month.  This is incredibly frustrating for new students trying to register, and hard on the bottom line.  When the registrations fall apart, we're scrambling at the last-minute calling wait-list people and trying to make everyone happy.  Small business is not for sissies!
