"We went to the first class last night and felt that
we learned so much just in ONE sitting!!!

I have already started applying the instruction and CAN'T
believe how well it's already working with my young dog Cooper.
Thanks for the quality of instruction and I can't wait for more!!!"

Beginning Level Classes (no previous class experience)
PUPPIES 3-6 MONTHS:

Puppy Pre-School
A first class for puppies
under 4-1/2
 months old

Puppies may attend as early as their vet gives permission to attend.
  Puppy Kindergarten
A first class for pups under 6 months of age.
Preschool over-flow in this class!

Social Puppy Sessions
Supplemental socialization opportunities for puppies 6 months & under who are enrolled in a DITR beginning or Prep class. People, places and things. Controlled play time, handling, & self control.

OLDER PUPS AND ADULTS:

Headstart
A first class for older puppies and adult dogs
Puppies may attend the Headstart class if your schedule won't allow you to attend a puppy class. Adult dogs may not attend classes for puppies.

Headstart is for pups 6 mo. through adults of any age.

On the cusp? "Just turned" 6 months? You may attend either Puppy K or Headstart.

Your schedule doesn't allow you to attend Puppy Class dates? Enroll in Headstart instead. The curriculum is the same, just no free play socialization time. You may pick up your missed socialization op in the Social Puppy Sessions on Sundays if your pup is under 6 months old.

Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks!
It's never too late to start training!

Class sessions begin monthly, year round. Each session is 4 weeks in length.
Classes are 1-1/2 hours, once per week, for a total of 6 hours of instruction.

Class size is limited
to 8-10 dogs per class with one instructor and one assistant for plenty of personal attention. Classes are held indoors, heated in winter and air conditioned in summer.

What will we learn?
The beginning classes (Puppy or Headstart) will cover how to teach basic commands on hand signal and voice command (come when called, sit, down, stand, stay, leave it) as well as sit-for-petting, walking on leash, leadership and basic house manners. Time will be spent in each class for problem solving and behavior questions. Most important, socialization and FUN!

(A training manual and other written materials are included with your beginning class tuition.)

TRANSFERS, CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS
Because our classes are limited to 8-10 students per class, classes frequently fill
weeks in advance. Last minute cancellations and transfers can wreak havoc
with the balance of the class registrations. Please check your calendar
carefully and plan to attend the class you sign up for.

Make-ups are available.

Should an emergency or illness occur, please contact your instructor as early
as possible to make arrangements for make-up in another class or transfer to a future class.
Your instructor's contact information is inserted in your handbook.

Transfers must be taken within 60 days. No refunds after week 2.
Cost of printed materials will be deducted from pro-rated refunds.
