who have completed a Puppy or Headstart class
at DITR or another school.

PREP SCHOOL
$75 for four weeks, 1-1/2 hr classes

Behavior 101 Lectures

Classes start monthly. Select the month you would like to begin:

PREP SCHOOL

The second level of classes.
More manners and control for Puppy and Headstart grads.
For students who have attended a Puppy Class or Headstart or any other beginning level class at any other training facility.
We build longer stays and more reliable recalls. We add distractions and build attention. We continue to work on our leash work and will teach you how to teach your dog to "go to bed" and "stay" until released and ring a bell to go outside.

Best of all, we introduce you to clicker training!

Social Puppy Sessions
There is no free-play time in the Prep class, however if your pup is still 6 months or under, you may continue to attend the Social Puppy socialization sessions on Sundays at 4:45PM.

Prep classes fill very quickly - don't wait!

Prep classes are occasionally held in Liberty Lake
on Wednesday nights only - all other classes are held
at DITR on N. Monroe.

The Clicker Class!

Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

And some amazing ones, using clicker training!

The clicker is an amazing tool which opens the lines of communication between dog and human. The clicker is not forever, once behaviors are on cue, you won't need to mark every behavior (or feed every behavior). You will be amazed at how well it works to explain to your dog what you want. We will build on the foundation laid in your beginning class.

"We set out this morning to practice what you taught us last night. And guess what? Sammy very quickly did everything he didn't seem to "get" just yesterday! In just a few minutes, he offered various behaviors to get the click/treat and consistently put himself into a down when he realized that was what I wanted. I changed positions and locations (sitting on the floor, sitting in a chair, standing, trying different rooms throughout the house, etc.) It was fun to see the light bulb turn on! - Annie E.

Behavior 101 Lectures

TRANSFERS, CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS
Because our classes are limited to 8-10 students per class, classes frequently fill
weeks in advance. Last minute cancellations and transfers can wreak havoc
with the balance of the class registrations. Please check your calendar
carefully and plan to attend the class you sign up for.

Make-ups are available.
Should an emergency or illness occur, please contact your instructor as early
as possible to make arrangements for make-up in another class or transfer to a future class.
Your instructor's contact information is inserted in your handbook.

Transfers must be taken within 60 days. No refunds after week 2.
Cost of printed materials will be deducted from pro-rated refunds.
