Who
?

You and your whole family. Kids who will help with the training are welcome!
Class size is limited to 8-10 dogs per class.


What?
Puppy Preschool or Kindergarten for puppies, as early as your vet will give permission, Headstart for older pups and adults. Beginning level classes focus on basic commands: come, sit , down, stand, stay, leave it - as well as leashwork and good manners. Intermediate classes introduce clicker training to prepare you for the many choices of advanced classes. Yes, old dogs can learn new tricks! Behavior 101 lectures on leadership, reading canine body language and positive problem solving. Special classes for dogs with social issues with other animals or people. Classes for people with disabilities who wish to train their own assistance dog.

What is your Training Philosophy?
Our primary goal at Diamonds in the Ruff is to give you the tools to build communication and a satisfying relationship built on mutual respect and trust between you and your dog. We will show you how to understand your dog, how to teach your dog to understand you and how to fit training into your busy schedule. Most of all training should be fun and build confidence!

When?
Classes start monthly, all year round. Weekday evenings, midday on Wednesday. Fall, Winter and Spring: all day Saturday and afternoons on Sunday. (The training studio is not open during non-class times.)

Where?
2925 N. Monroe .......................
Spokane's near northside, near the foot of the North Monroe St. Hill. Classes are held indoors, heated in winter and air conditioned in summer.

Why Train Your Dog?
A trained dog is an easier, safer and more fun family member.

Why Diamonds in the Ruff?
We offer positive methods, dog-friendly training classes taught by qualified instructors.

How much?
Beginning classes are $90 for 6 hours of class training (4 wks, 1-1/2 hours per week.) Send a check, bring cash or pay with a credit card via PayPal. Second level Prep classes are $80, Beyond Prep advanced classes are $70.

How early can I start training?
You may attend class as early as your veterinarian gives permission. Go here for our vaccination policy. In reality, you have already begun training!

If I can't make it to a class, are there make-ups available? Yes. Just talk to your instructor or call Carol at 328-6959. If you are unable to make it to a class that week, you may arrange a private 1/2 hour make-up session for $30.

When is the store open? We do have an onsite store which offers a variety of training treats, collars, leashes, chew toys and brain toys. It is a benefit for SpokAnimal CARE. Students may shop just before or after class. The training studio is not open during non-class hours. Check the online schedule and plan to drop by just before class is scheduled to start or at the end of the scheduled class time.

WEATHER CONCERNS?

Unless the State Patrol advises everyone to
stay off the roads, class will be held.
If you cannot make it to class, you may make
it up in another class in the same week.
