Diamonds in the Ruff is handicapped accessible.

A disabled parking spot is located right outside our door and the STA bus stops on our corner on Monroe. Our students with disabilities can easily access the indoor classroom.

SERVICE DOG SKILLS

Private or semi-private sessions are offered by Pat Moberly who moved to Spokane after working with Summit Assistance Dogs on the coast as a puppy raiser coordinator and trainer. Pat is an avid clicker trainer with broad experience in selection and screening of potential service dogs, matching dogs and owners, ADI testing and problem solving. She is an honors graduate of the Academy of Dog Trainers in San Francisco.

Those interested in training their dog to be a service dog will begin their training in regular classes. Once completed, they may schedule special training in advanced skills related to the specific disability and public access field trips with Pat.

To be considered a service dog, the dog must be trained to perform tasks
directly related to the handler's disability. The Diamonds in the Ruff program
teaches you to train your dog to be a true working dog.
