CRATE EXCHANGE!
Puppies eventually outgrow their crates. While you could store it away in the garage for a future puppy, why not pass it on to someone who needs a good deal on a used crate!
Email your particulars if you have a crate for sale or need a crate! (Please note your location, as this site is visited by people all over the country!)
Also contact SpokAnimal at 509 -534-8133 as they often have used crates at reasonable prices and will take donated crates.
6/07/08 - First of all let me congratulate you on this fabulous idea! I have two dogs that are moving with me to Australia. I have traveled with them in Vari and Pet Porter Intermediate crates, but the company helping me with the export are more fussy and want me to have a large (36L x 25W x 27H). Plus there shouldn't be any rust on the doors or side bars. I know I can get new doors at http://www.petmate.com/Departments/Replacement-Parts.aspx, but right now due to time constraints I'd prefer to swap my intermediate kennels (32L x 22.5W x 24H (intermediate)) that are in very good condition for large ones. I'll pay shipping and am located in Brooklet GA. Thanks so much! 5/15/08 - I have a very large, adult great dane that I rescued. He’s a harlequin that weighs approximately 180 lbs. He’s also very tall, although I’m not sure of his exact height. He’s apparently not house trained and my house completely reaks of urine. I am in desperate need of a large wire crate for him, or I’m going to have to get rid of him. Please let me know if there’s anything available. Thanks! - Jennifer Spreiter, Broken Arrow (a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma) - jennifer@creativeanimation.com

- My Rotts have grown out of the crates that we had from previous smaller dogs,
so I am having to get them larger crates. I wanted to let you know in case you
knew of anyone that was looking for a medium size dog crate. I don't have exact
measurements (I'm not at home), but I wouldn't put a dog that weighs more that
40 pounds in there. Daisy is 47 and Koda is 45... I was thinking I'd ask about
$30 for each of them. I also have a plastic dog carrier/kennel...it was only
used once to fly Koda over here from Georgia. He was about 20 pounds then. I
wouldn't go much larger than that on that one either. Probably $30 for that
one too...
